About a month and a half ago my dear friend Courtney and I joined a gracious group of ladies at our church for bible study/missions. Hey Amanda!!!
"Beautiful Feet" an amazing group of woman who all share the love of Christ and helping others, all while needing their own little therapy session while making a journey through a bible study.
"How beautiful are the feet who bring good news"
-Romans 10:15
This group has everything I have been looking for.
Courtney and I go way on back, like waaaay on back. For those of you who do not know we were almost sisters. Truest of stories. We share the same passions for helping and love homeless people. We even bought a boat load of candle makings to make and sell and donate the money to a shelter or start something of our own. We want to feed every hungry animal/human alive. Making someones day a little brighter.
The idea that this group is already established is absolutely the push we needed.
Fast forward to tonight, the first night that the group is actually going out and serving and I am so excited I don't even eat or bathe. Yes people, this is that exciting.
I pick up Courtney a wee bit early, also hoping for some kisses from AG, eat the leftovers on Kyles plate, also a very true story, and we head off to do amazing things.
Side-note: Kyle "accidently" told me he loved me tonight, its OK to admit it Kyle, I love you too.
We split off into several groups armed with about 10, five dollars gas cards and set off to make some lucky lady/lad's evening.
Let me just say this(seriously, that's why I have a blog, because I have alot to say), as much as I wish I was great with words, I am in fact, not. One can only wish.
I met some people this evening who made me grateful for my "treasures", they made thankful to have a job, and so so blessed to be able to pray for them. People in my community are suffering everyday. They suffer from addiction, they suffer from poverty, they suffer from loneliness. They simply just suffer. I can only hope that I have made at least one positive impression on someone today.
I am not promising, but I really want to blog about my experiences with "Beautiful Feet" I want to remember the people that are blessed by these amazing woman.
I want to bless someone.
